Election 2013: Dan Miller Debate Schedule

1 Apr
Monday @ 9:17 am

As released by Friends of Dan Miller:

HARRISBURG: Mayoral candidate Dan Miller today released a list of debates in which he intends to take part. Miller, whose accounting practice is particularly busy at the height of tax season, has an obligation to clients that precludes his participation in several events to which he has been invited. His inability to attend in no way reflects a lack of concern or respect for the sponsoring organization, but rather, reflects the obligation he feels when he accepts a job.

"Most people understand that as an accountant at the height of tax season my schedule at this time of year is unrelenting," said Miller. "I have the same obligation to my clients as I would have to the people of Harrisburg if I'm elected Mayor: That is to give their concerns the time and energy required to do the best job possible. While I understand that debates offer an opportunity for voters to learn more about the candidates, the first thing people should know about me is that when I make a commitment I keep it. Not even a high profile debate will cause me to take time from my practice and the people that depend on my services."

Dan Miller has attempted to schedule debates that serve a wide cross section of the community. Unfortunately, some debates have been scheduled for the last few days prior to the tax filing deadline with the organizer's full knowledge Dan would be unable to attend.

The debates in which Dan is scheduled to participate and their locations are:

4-8 Stonewall Democrats--HMAC – Stage on Herr, 268 Herr St, 6pm.

4-18 African-American Chamber of Commerce – Que House 2020 State Street, 6pm.

4-19 WHP radio – Live 4pm to 5pm.

5-8 Harrisburg Young Professionals – Hilton Market Square Harrisburg, 7pm.

5-9 NAACP and IMC – Wesley Union AME Zion Church, 5th & Camp Streets, 7pm.
