Harrisburg Police Report: Shooting Investigation.

Type of Incident: Shooting investigation.

. Date / Time: 04-27-2013, at about 0330 hrs.

. Location: MDO’s Pizza, 1701 Derry St.

. Investigating Officer: Detective Ryan Neal.

. Victim R/S/A: Hispanic male, 32, Harrisburg resident.

. Suspect: Unknown.

. Charges: Pending.

. Narrative: On 04-27-2013 at about 0345 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to the pizza shop on a report that a shooting took place and a car was damaged. The victim called from a Susquehanna Twp. location. She said that she was in her car on the pizza shop lot when someone fired numerous shots. Bullets hit her car windshield and a side window. She drove away but her car stopped a short while later in that one tire was flat and the engine leaked fluids.

. The officers at the pizza shop noticed that the building had bullet holes in the exterior. While the officers were there another dispatch call alerted them that a man with a bullet wound to his lower leg was at the Harrisburg Hospital emergency room for treatment. That was at about 0355 hrs.

. Officers responded and spoke to that man. He said that he was at the pizza shop and in line to order food. He heard several shots and felt a pain in his leg. He went to see his wife in Hall Manor and she took him to the emergency room.

Harrisburg Police Report: Death Investigation.

As released by the Harrisburg Bureau of Police:

Type of Incident: Death investigation – shooting.

. Date / Time: 04-27-2013, at about 2255 hrs.

. Location: 1400 block of Market St.

. Investigating Officer: Detective Timothy Carter.

. Victim R/S/A: Tyrell Vaughan, black male, 27, suburban Harrisburg.

. Suspect: Pending investigation.

. Charges: Pending.

. Narrative: On 04-27-2013 at about 2240 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to a bar at 15th and Market Sts. on a report that a man was causing a disturbance. The man left prior to the arrival of the officers. About 10 minutes later the officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Market St. on a report that a man had been shot. Officers learned that is was the same man who was involved in the problem at the bar.

. Preliminary information indicated that Vaughan got into an argument with several people in the 1400 block of Market St. He was shot several times during a violent fight.

. Vaughan was taken to the Hershey Medical center with gunshot wounds to the torso and head. He died as a result.

. The investigation continues and anyone having any information on this is asked to contact Det. . Location: 1300 block of Vernon St.

. Victim R/S/A: Black male, 41, Harrisburg resident.

. Suspect: Three black males, all wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.

. Charges: Pending.

. Narrative: On 04-27-2013 at about 0150 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Vernon St. on a report that a man was shot. The victim said that he was walking and confronted by three robbers. One robber brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s valuables. The victim was shot in the right thigh before he could respond. All three robbers attacked him, kicking and punching repeatedly. They searched his pockets and took a small amount of cash and a cell phone. The victim pleaded that he didn’t have anything else. The robbers punched and kicked him again before walking off.

. The victim was taken to the Harrisburg Hospital for treatment of the gunshot wound as well as numerous contusions.
