Harrisburg Crime Report: Robbery investigation.

As released by the harrisburg Bureau of Police:

Type of Incident: Robbery investigation.

. Date / Time: 04-24-2013 at about 2300 hrs

. . Location: 1700 block of Green St.

. Investigating Officer: Detective Ryan Neal.

. Victim: White male, 51, Midtown resident.

. Suspect: Black male, age unknown, about 5’8”’ tall, wearing dark clothing.

. Charges: Pending.

. Narrative: On 04-24-2013 at about 2335 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1700 block of Green St. on a report that a robbery had taken place. The victim said that he let his dogs out and stood on his front porch to watch them. He saw three men walking on the other side of the street. As he watched the dogs he was distracted and then attacked by a man hitting him on the legs with a bat. The robber demanded his valuables and kept hitting him. The victim gave up a small amount of cash from his pocket and pleaded that he didn’t have anything else. The robber repeatedly hit the man with a bat while demanding more and then ran off. The other two men were watching the attack and they ran off. The victim suffered numerous contusions and will be seeking medical attention as needed.

. Date / Time: 04-24-2013 at about 2305 hrs.

. Location: 1400 block of N. 3rd St.

. Investigating Officer: Detective Ryan Neal.

. Victim: Black male, 18, Midtown resident.

. Suspect: 1. Black male, teens, 5'2", thin, black clothing and a black beanie.

He pulled a shotgun out of his pants.

. 2. Black male, late teens, 5'8", thin facial hair, all black clothes with a black hooded sweatshirt.

He had a bat, . 3. Black male, 20s, 5'8", thin, oldest of group, all black clothes with a hooded sweatshirt.

He had a handgun.

. Charges: Pending.

. Narrative: On 04-24-2013 at about 2340 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to a residence in the Midtown on a report that a robbery had taken place. The victim said that he was walking home while talking on his cell phone. He was confronted by three armed robbers. One robber pointed a handgun at his head and demanded the cell phone and money. The victim gave up the cell phone. One robber searched the victim, taking a wallet and house keys. The robbers walked off. The victim went home and told his family of the incident. The victim was not harmed.

Type of Incident: Shooting investigation.

. Date / Time: 04-24-2013 at about 1830 hrs..

. Location: 1500 block Naudain St.

. Investigating Officer: Detective Christopher Krokos.

. Victim: Several – see narrative.

. Suspect: Four black males and one black female, 20s. One man had a handgun and another had a shotgun.

. Charges: Pending.

. Narrative: On 04-24-2013 at about 1835 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Naudain on a report that a shooting had just taken place. The officer learned that at least six people, ages infant to 60, were at a residence and on the porch or inside. A group of agitated young people approached with two men brandishing weapons. Another man swung a belt while confronting the victims. The group was apparently looking for a teenage male who lives in the residence. One member of the group has been involved in an on-going dispute with the teen. The victims retreated into the home and shut the door. One person fired a shotgun at the closed door causing a good bit of damage but fortunately no one was injured. The group ran off.

. Location: Woolf Doctors Barber Shop at 2626 Derry St.

. Investigating Officer: Detective Christopher Krokos.

. Victim: Black male, 41, suburban Harrisburg.

Black male, 46, Harrisburg.

Black male, 27, Middletown.

Black female, Harrisburg.

. Suspect: Black male, age unknown, dark complexion, about 6’ tall, wearing dark clothing and a black ski mask. Spoke with a Southern accent/drawl. Armed with a handgun.

. Black male, age unknown, lighter complexion, about 5’10” tall, wearing dark clothing and a black ski mask. Carrying a backpack.

. Charges: Pending.

. Narrative: On 04-24-2013 at about 1855 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to the Woolf Doctors Barber Shop on a report that a robbery had just taken place. The proprietor and customers reported that two masked robbers entered the shop, one armed with a handgun. They forced everyone to surrender their valuables . Money, iphones, and credit cards were taken. The victims were not harmed.
