Former Harrisburg mayor Linda Thompson filed her pre-election campaign finance report on April 14, 2014, Thompson's new committee is named (Friends of Linda Thompson for Congress) with Charles A. Ottaviano signing off as treasurer for the committee.

Mr. Ottaviano is married to Dauphin county democratic party chairman Marilyn Levin and served as Thompson's treasurer for her committee (Leadership for Harrisburg 2013) during her failed run for re-election as mayor of Harrisburg, she placed third in a field of four candidates.

The committee reported a balance of cash on hand at close of reporting period of $595.40.

Contributions totaled $1070 consisting of two $250 individual contributions and a $570 contribution from Thompson's Leadership for Harrisburg 2013.

Operating expenses totaled $474.60 defined as $427.66 reimbursement campaign expenses to Linda Thompson, $16.94 for office supplies from Staples, and $30.00 to Charles A. Ottaviano for postage and fuel reimbursement.

Former Harrisburg Mayor Linda D. Thompson dropped a bombshell Saturday when she acknowledged her run for Pa's 4th congressional district, Thompson needs to collect 1K valid signatures to get on the ballot and has one week from today to file the nomination petitions.

If Thompson does qualify how much money will she be able to raise, in her run for reelection she was outspent by both Miller and Papenfuse and finished third in the May 2013 primary.

Linda D. Thompson attended Saturday's Progressive Summit at the Hilton hotel in Harrisburg, Thompson acknowledged that she is circulating petitions for the office of Congress in the 4th district of Pa, the seat is currently held by republican Scott Perry.
