As released by the office of Harrisburg School Chief Recovery Officer:

CHIEF RECOVERY OFFICER GENE G. VENO TO ISSUE RECOVERY PLAN THIS FRIDAY

Harrisburg School District’s Chief Recovery Officer Gene G. Veno will release a comprehensive financial recovery plan he calls a roadmap for restoring financial stability and raising student achievement to the Harrisburg School District this Friday, April 26. He will host a press conference at 11 a.m. at the Administration Building and a public meeting at the Marshall School at 6 p.m.

Pennsylvania Education Secretary Ronald J. Tomalis designated the Harrisburg School District to be in moderate financial recovery status last fall pursuant to Act 141, legislation enacted last summer that empowers the Secretary to declare a limited number of school districts in financial recovery status.
