Dauphin County commissioners voted to approve up to $130,000,000 in tax-exempt revenue bonds or notes issued by the Dauphin County General Authority. From public notice in the June 6th Patriot News_____________ The Dauphin County General Authority (the "Authority") will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at its office located at 530 South Harrisburg Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17113, at 8:30 a.m., prevailing time, in connection with a plan of financing for the proposed issuance by the Authority of its tax-exempt revenue bonds or notes in one or more series (the "Bonds") in the aggregate principal amount of up to $130,000,000 for the benefit of Pinnacle Health Hospitals ("Hospitals"), Pinnacle Health System, and Pinnacle Health Medical Services, each a Pennsylvania not-for-profit corporation and collectively, the "Obligated Group".rnrnThe proceeds of the Bonds will be applied to (1) the construction, equipping, and development of a new approximately 200,000 square foot, 108 bed acute care hospital on the Fredricksen Campus (the "Fredricksen Campus") of the Obligated Group located in Hampden Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania (the "New Hospital Project"); (2) renovations and improvements to the Harrisburg Hospital ("Harrisburg Hospital") facilities of the Obligated Group located in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, consisting of renovations and improvements to Harrisburg Hospital's 2nd Floor Cardiovascular cath labs, 3rd floor Electrophysiology and CTICU areas, private patient room improvements, upgrades to the 4th, 5th, 6th and 10th floors of the Harrisburg Hospital and other related capital improvements or acquisitions; (3) renovations and improvements to the Community General Hospital facilities of the Obligated Group located in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County, consisting of an addition of two private patient room floors to the existing building and other related capital improvements or acquisitions (collectively, the "Projects"); and (4) pay all or a portion of the costs of issuing the Bonds. rnrnThe Projects are or will be located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania at the Hospitals' Harrisburg Campus, 111 South Front Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17101; the Community Campus, 4300 Londonderry Road, Harrisburg (Lower Paxton Township), Pennsylvania 17109; and in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania at the Hospitals' Fredricksen Campus, 2015 Technology Parkway, Mechanicsburg, Hampden Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania 17050. The initial owners and operators of the Projects will be members of the Obligated Group.rnrnAny and all persons in attendance will be afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed issuance of the Bonds. Written comments may also be submitted to the Authority at the address of the hearing listed above at least 24 hours before the hearing.
