During the April 9th Harrisburg School District Budget, Finance, and Facilities Meeting, Chair Rhonda Mays begins questioning Superintendent Sybil Knight-Burney about the growing rumors that SciTech High School will be consolidated into John Harris High School or even closed. Knight-Burney tells the Committee members, ?At this time, we have no plans to close SciTech or consolidate it into another school.? She says it has not even been considered or discussed as one of the options to offset the School District's anticipated $15.8 million budget deficit.--Tara Leo Auchey
