Mayor Thompson responds to Senator Piccola's proposed legislation that would amend Act 47 and create a 3-member board that would have the power to direct the sale of Harrisburg's assets - as reported by Tara Leo Auchey.

?I think we need discipline in implementing our Act 47 plan; however, the process that Sen. Piccolo is attempting to legislate is not the way to achieve that end. Act 47 already calls for the withholding of critical funds from the City, and surely any elected official who intentionally causes the state to take such drastic actions, should not be supported or tolerated by City stakeholders.
