Rep. Curt Schroder (R-Chester County), Republican chairman of the House Gaming Oversight Committee said he is shocked by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court?s ruling that permits gaming interests to make contributions to political campaigns. He said it was the clear intent of the state gaming law to prohibit the intermingling of politics and gaming, but he said the court opened the flood gates yesterday when it reversed state law that had prohibited the practice. Schroder called the decision a ?truly tortured piece of legal reasoning.?
