ORDINANCES FOR FIRST READING

•Bill 24-2016 – An Ordinance amending Chapter 6-331 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Harrisburg, which prohibits smoking in all buildings, vehicles, and playgrounds owned, leased or operated by the City of Harrisburg, to include pools owned, leased or operated by the City of Harrisburg.

•Bill 19-2016 – An Ordinance of the Council of the City of Harrisburg reorganizing the Harrisburg Environmental Advisory Council.

RESOLUTIONS

•Resolution 36-2016 - A Resolution ratifying the submission of a "Trees for Tomorrow" grant application to the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay on behalf of the Department of Public Works for the purpose of funding tree maintenance for the City's parks and playgrounds.

•Resolution 43-2016 - A Resolution authorizing and approving the negotiation and entry into a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Harrisburg and the Harrisburg School District for the City to create and operate a composting facility on real property of the School District and to cooperate in the provision of related on-site educational and training activities.

•Resolution 46 - 2016 – A Resolution ratifying the Local Share Municipal Grant Agreement with Dauphin County which enables the City of Harrisburg’s Bureau of Police to receive funds made available under the Pennsylvania Gaming Act for the purpose of funding the purchase of laptop computers for use by City police officers.

•Resolution 48 - 2016 – A Resolution ratifying the Local Share Municipal Grant Agreement with Dauphin County which enables the City of Harrisburg’s Bureau of Fire to receive funds made available under the Pennsylvania Gaming Act for the purpose of funding the replacement of the HVAC system at Fire Station #1.

•Resolution 54-2016 – A Resolution authorizing the City of Harrisburg to negotiate and enter into a professional services contract with Wilson Consulting Group, PC to perform design and engineering services for the repair of the Riverwalk sidewalks and installation of handicap-accessible ramps on Herr and Maclay Streets.

•Resolution 55-2016 – A Resolution approving a maintenance agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for maintenance of a “Welcome to Harrisburg” sign and lighting in the PENNDOT right of way at the Paxton Street intersection with the Interstate 83/Second Street on and offs ramps.

•Resolution 63-2016 – A Resolution authorizing the execution of a lease purchase or similar agreement between the City of Harrisburg and Community First National Bank of Manhattan Kansas for the purpose of financing a lease purchase of seven (7) new MACK rear loading refuse trucks.

•Resolution 64-2016 – A Resolution authorizing the mayor to execute the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement between the City of Harrisburg and the Harrisburg School District for a cooperative project to develop and operate an organic waste composting facility on current school district land for educational and operation purposes.

•Resolution 65-2016 – A Resolution authorizing the City of Harrisburg to negotiate and enter into a grant agreement with Department of Community and Economic Development (“DCED”), consistent with the Harrisburg Act 47 Recovery Plan.

•Resolution 66-2016 –A Resolution appointing Jeremiah A. Chamberlin to serve on the Harrisburg Architectural Review Board.

•Resolution 67-2016 – A Resolution appointing H. Edward Wenger to serve on the Building and Housing Code Board of Appeals of the City of Harrisburg.

•Resolution 68-2016 – A Resolution appointing Andrew J. Knee to serve on the Harrisburg Architectural Review Board.

•Resolution 69-2016 - A Resolution appointing Wayne S. Martin, City Engineer, as the agent for the City of Harrisburg to execute all necessary documents on behalf of the City of Harrisburg for purposes of obtaining sinkhole relief assistance funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency in connection with the sinkhole affected area of the 1400 block of South 14th Street.

•Resolution 70-2016 – A Resolution requesting consideration and approval of the Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness in full without conditions for the renovations at the property located at 1315 North Front Street.

•Resolution 71-2016 – A Resolution approving the adoption of a regulation setting an annual fee for a mobile food vendor license in the amount of $500.
