YORK, PA - Today, Gov.-elect Tom Wolf released a code of ethical conduct agreement that all transition team members must sign. The agreement will prevent conflicts of interest and set clear ethical guidelines for all members of the transition team. Katie McGinty, Wolf's incoming Chief of Staff, signed the agreement yesterday, becoming the first member to do so.

CODE OF ETHICAL CONDUCT

I, ____________________, hereby agree to serve as a member of the Transition Team of the Governor-Elect of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and agree to maintain the highest ethical standards in fulfilling my role as a participant in theTransition Team. I further represent and warrant, as follows:

I have disclosed to the Transition Team any potential or actual conflicts of interest which I have identified relating to my service as a participant on the Transition Team.

I agree to maintain as confidential information any and all information (in any form received) which is provided to me in the course of the Transition process and to consult with the appropriate Transition Team executives in the event I receive any requests to disclose such confidential information to a third party.

I agree to coordinate any and all requested communication with the media through the Governor-Elect’s press team, prior to speaking to any representatives of the media.

I will take all steps reasonably necessary to avoid abusing or misusing my position with the Governor-Elect’s Transition Team for personal gain.

I will not use any Commonwealth personnel, resources, property and/or funds, other than for purposes directly related toTransition Team activities.

I will not solicit or accept a gift, loan of money, goods, services or other things of value for the benefit of any person or organization, other than the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which could influence the manner in which I perform my duties.

I understand that my agreement to serve on the Transition Team and to abide by the requirements applicable to that service may be made public. I acknowledge that any failure to comply with these requirements may result in my dismissal from the Transition Team.
