As released by the Harrisburg Bureau of Police:
Type of Incident: Death investigation – shooting.
. Date / Time: 02-17-2013, at about 0415 hrs.
. Location: 130-150 S. Cameron St.
. Investigating Officer: Detective Quinten Kennedy.
. Victim R/S/A: Matthew L. Dyson, black male, 30, Uptown resident.
. Suspect: COREY REID, B/M/18, Steelton resident.
. Charges: Criminal Homicide Carrying Firearm Without License.
The investigation revealed that there was a simple dispute inside the after hours club. Dyson went outside. Reid and a few others followed him out. Reid shot Dyson.
. An arrest warrant was issued and Reid was taken into custody at about 0030 hrs. on 02-18-2013 in the 500 block of S. 16th St. in Harrisburg.
. Reid was sent to the Dauphin County Prison. Bail was not set.
. Narrative: On 02-17-2013 at about 0420 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Monte Carlos Pizza in the 100 block of S. Cameron St. on a report that a man was shot. Responding officers were directed to a parking lot at the south end of the building at 130-150 S. Cameron St. where they found Matthew Dyson on the ground. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was having trouble talking. Dyson was rushed to the Hershey Medical Center where he died a short time later.
. A team of detectives was called out and has been investigating leads throughout the day. Dyson had apparently visited an after hours club in the building adjacent to the parking lot.
. The investigation continues and anyone having any information on this is asked to contact Det.
