PA ATTORNEY GENERAL KANE TO MAKE MAJOR PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT

WHAT: Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane will make a public safety announcement at the Cecil B. Moore Recreational Facility in Philadelphia. The attorney general willl be joined by Mayor Nutter, Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey, members of the local community and others.

WHO: Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane Mayor Michael Nutter Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey.

WHERE: Cecil B. Moore Recreational Facility Auditorium, 2551 North 22nd Street (near Lehigh Avenue) Philadelphia, PA 19132.

Harrisburg Crime Report: Shooting Investigation.

As released by the Harrisburg Bureau of Police:

Type of Incident: Shooting investigation. . Date / Time: 02-06-2013, at about 2245 hrs.

. Location: N. 17th and Regina Sts.

. Investigating Officer: Detective Jason Paul.

. Person R/S/A: Black male, 31, Steelton resident.

. Suspect: Unknown.

. Charges: Pending.

. Narrative: On 02-06-2013 at about 2250 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to the Harrisburg Hospital emergency room on a report that man with a gunshot wound was there for help. The man was not able to provide much due to receiving emergency treatment for a gunshot to the eye. He said that he stopped at 17th and Regina Sts. and talked to a girl.

. Two men were with the wounded man. They said that they were being given a ride home when the man stopped the car at 17th and Regina Sts. for an unknown reason. The man got out and talked to some people. The two men stayed in the car and were distracted and didn’t see anything. Then they heard arguing and shooting. The wounded man got back into the car and was driven to the hospital. . Other officers checked the area where the shooting was said to have happened. They found spent casings and blood evidence. No witnesses were found.

. The wounded man’s injury was not said to be life threatening but he may lose his eye. The other two men were not harmed.
