Pennsylvania's governor is questioned on Penn State University's President Rodney Erickson's 16% pay raise. Despite being on the University's Board of Trustees, Governor Corbett said he was unaware of the pay raise until he saw it in the news.

When asked about the transparency or the lack of in the push to privatize the management of the State's lottery system, Governor Corbett assures, "This didn't sneak up on anyone in the Legislature if they were paying attention."
During this December 20, 2012 press conference, Governor Corbett is questioned on a vacation he accepted from a Pennsylvanian businessman.
As disclosed by the governor himself in a recently publicized ethics filing, Tom Corbett and his wife took a July 2011 vacation to Rhode Island at the expense of PA businessman, John Moran.
Moran is President & CEO of Moran Industries, a logistical service company. Aside from this main business focus, Moran Industries' investments also include real estate and financial investment services as well as oil and gas management companies.
John Moran sits on Corbett's privatization panel and he and his wife have donated more than $75,000 to Corbett's campaign for governor. In addition, Moran and Corbett are co-chairs of the Board of the Team PA Foundation. Team PA is self-defined as "a non-partisan charitable non-profit created in 1997 to bridge the gap between government and the private sector and allow both sides to partner for the betterment of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania."
In response to questions about the acceptance of what some people are considering an extravagant insider's gift, the governor proclaimed, "I have followed the law." Corbett stressed that Moran is a friend of the gubernatorial family and has been for the past 5 or 6 years.
According to the Moran Industries website, the company's philosophy is "Whatever it takes."

In light of last week's Sandy Hook School shootings, Governor Tom Corbett is questioned on his position on gun control.
Putting the emphasis more on the debate of mental illness rather than the debate of gun control, Pennsylvania's governor stated, "It doesn't matter whether it's an assault weapon or a hand gun, it's the mental illness issue that we have to work as much as we possibly can on."
Corbett pointed to the federal government in regard to changes in gun laws saying he'll wait to hear from the Vice President's commission on the matter.
