Harrisburg Bureau of Police: Sexual Assault Crime Prevention

In light of recent reports of sexual assault in and around the City of Harrisburg, Mayor Linda Thompson held a press conference to launch a Sexual Assault Crime Prevention initiative.

Guest speaker Jennifer Storm, Executive Director of Victim/Witness Assistance Program, explains the sensitivity of media reporting of sexual assault incidents. "We need to get a greater understanding of the impact and totality of sexual violence." WHTM 27's Dave Marcheski pointedly questions both the Mayor and Harrisburg Lt. Robert H. Fegan about the Police account of the Harrisburg Area Community College student on December 4th.

City of Harrisburg's 2013 Budget Process: City Council's Review

On Wednesday, December 5, 2012, Harrisburg City Council held its public review of the Thompson Administration's 2013 Budget. Receiver William Lynch and the Receiver's Team opened up the proceedings with a brief overview of the Receiver's approach to the City's Budget then stayed for the review.

Mayor Linda Thompson and her staff answered City Council's questions as they moved through the Budget department by department.
