Harrisburg Police arrested 15 juveniles on Monday, Oct. 26, 2015 and charged them with Riot (felony3). On 9/5/15 at 2235 hours, Harrisburg Police responded to multiple vehicles that had been vandalized in the area of the 200 block of Cumberland Street. Witnesses stated that a large group of juveniles were jumping on the roofs and hoods of vehicles, breaking mirrors and breaking the windows to the vehicles. The juveniles continued walking through the area, damaging vehicles in the area of the 1200 block of N. 2nd Street, 100 block of Cumberland Street and 1500 block of Green Street. As the youth proceeded, they knocked over garbage cans and outdoor planters and attempted to damage residences. A total of 15 cars were damaged with an estimated repair cost of $17,000.

Police secured a video of the same youth rampaging through a store in the area. The video helped police identify those who participated in the incidents.

Several parents also contacted the police and identified their children as to taking part in the incidents. Arrests were made through cooperation of parents, the Harrisburg School District and several witnesses. Many of the juveniles also cooperated with the investigation.
