Harrisburg Mayor Thompson has nominated her "Sister in Christ." former Harrisburg City Council president Gloria Martin-Roberts to the Board of the Harrisburg Authority.

The five member board currently has three members, Westburn Majors, J. Marc Kurowski, and chair William J. Cluck, two seats have remained vacant since Linda Thompson became mayor in 2010.

The mayor of Harrisburg has the power to nominate candidates to the board but the final decision to place members on the board rests with city council.
